Eco-Wedding Attire - Our Policies
Return and Guarantee Policy:
We fully guarantee our workmanship and your satisfaction. If you are dissatisfied with your eco wedding gown, contact us right away.
If you wish to return an undamaged gown, do it within 3 days of receipt. We will return your total cost less the initial deposit and we'll recycle the fabric and make sure that it is not wasted. Please be aware: We have a strict non-smoking policy at Conscious Elegance, therefore if you are a smoker you must abide by our non-smoking request while you are reviewing your purchase. We reserve the right to reject any returns and exchanges that do not meet these conditions. Please see our Terms and Conditions for full details.
In very rare occurrences, goods might be damaged during shipping. In this case, we highly recommend that you photograph the damage immediately, as this will greatly assist in any claims. If you wish to return a gown for a refund or repairs due to shipping damage, contact us within 3 days of receipt for pre-authorization and return the gown to us at our cost. We will accept damaged returns so long as the gown is unused and in the original packaging. Please send your package to us at our studio address below.
If damaged during shipping, your gown will be repaired at no extra charge as soon as possible. Should you later stain or tear your gown during normal wear, we're happy to fix it for you. Damage during normal wear may require an extra charge for repairs but all costs would be agreed upon before any work is begun. Please note that you are responsible for shipping charges both ways for repairs to damages incurred through normal wear. The repairs will be made exactly to your original gown's specifications.
Note: The repairs guarantee does not apply to changes made to the gown design originally described in your contract. Should you desire further changes to your original gown, we recommend that you seek out the services of a local seamstress or tailor.
Our Online Security Commitment:
We know that security is the number one priority when shopping on-line, even at eco wedding dress websites. We are very serious about security here and at no time do we give your personal information to any third party entity for any reason whatsoever. To view your gown in progress or to make a payment, you must first enter your username and a private password. You will be able to set your name and password when you place an order.
All information that you submit to us is stored in our database, with the exception of payment information. Payment information is not stored anywhere on our site and therefore cannot be accessed either remotely or directly by anyone. Your personal payment details are managed off-site by Worldpay, using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology to insure your safety. SSL encrypts your order information and sends it to a secure server, making it impossible for that information to be decoded by a third party.
Payment Details and Options:
We accept payment via major credit cards, personal check and Paypal. We can also accept credit card payments over the telephone. For the convenience of our UK clients, we can accept personal cheques and direct bank transfers in £. There are no currency changing fees! We require a 25% (non-refundable) deposit when you place your order. If any circumstances force us to cancel an order (has yet to happen), all deposits and payments would be returned to you in full. If you cancel, only the deposit will be forfeit.
Packaging:
We believe that responsible practice doesn't end with the finished product. As part of our commitment to minimize our impact on the planet, our packaging comes from recycled sources and/or is completely biodegradable. The packaging's useful life need not end after you have received your gown. We ship your gown in garment bags made from vegetable-based biodegradable plastic which can be used later for a safe way to return plant matter, such as garden clippings, to the soil. Our packing tissue is preservation-grade, unbleached, acid-free and is derived from sustainably-managed forests. The tissue is suitable for long-term gown storage for your convenience. Our garment boxes are re-used and recyclable too. We will always re-use any packaging materials we receive rather than allow them to go to a landfill. Don't be surprised if you receive recycled boxes that were sent to us first!
Shipping Your Eco Wedding Dress:
Before your final payment you will be given all shipping options along with the dress balance so that you will know the total cost up front. When your gown is complete and full payment cleared, you will receive an email to announce that your gown is being shipped and confirmation info to assist in tracking. Contact us for international orders. Please inspect your gown carefully and let us know immediately if you are unsatisfied in any way.
Or save yourself the shipping charges! Come to our workshop to collect your gown in person. Many clients elect to do this so that they can also benefit from a final fitting at no extra charge.
Rush Orders:
The minimum ordering time to receive regular pricing for one wedding gown is six (6) weeks prior to your wedding date. (Note: if a gown does not require a toile, the minimum ordering time is 2-4 weeks depending on the design). A gown ordered less than these minimums is considered a rush order. This applies only to single wedding gowns only. Additional garments ordered will require more time, depending on how many. Note: We must receive your deposit before we can schedule your gown's creation. - 5-6 weeks' notice: 25% surcharge; - 4-5 weeks' notice: 50% surcharge; - 2-4 weeks' notice: 75% surcharge.
Out of respect for our artists and in order to guarantee the workmanship of our gowns, we regret that we cannot accept orders made less than 2 weeks in advance under any circumstances.
Recycling Your Eco Wedding Dress for Future Celebrations
As an exclusive service to our wedding gown clients, we also offer handmade eco-friendly baby wear and accessories for a future little one, made from your own wedding gown, at no extra charge. Contact us for details. Simply alert us at least 6 weeks in advance of when you wish to have the baby garment completed, launder your gown and send it to us (see Our Materials and How to Care for Your Gown for details).
